Mindset Surveys Results

In Curaçao, we regularly hear broad statements such as: “our mindset needs to change”, without any further elaboration or specification. To understand exactly what kind of mindset dominates our culture and learn how to transform people’s mindsets into those of resilience, The Think To Do Institute (T2DI) has conducted the second nation-wide research on mindset, and how mindset influences the resiliency of our population.

The sequential mindset surveys in Curaçao, conducted by The Think To Do Institute (T2DI) across different years, offer valuable insights into the dynamic nature of our collective psyche. By comparing data from two distinct periods, these surveys provide a clearerunderstanding of how mindsets evolve and inform strategies for fostering resilience and growth in our community.

This paper delves into the most significant findings of the recent survey, offering a nuanced glimpse into the evolving mindsets within the Curaçao community. This research analyzes the mindset of citizens in Curaçao by means of a structured survey with the aim of (1) measuring the distribution of the prevailing types of mindsets, (2) analyzing if and to what extent different types of mindsets predict different socio-economic outcomes, (3) providing a base for data driven insights and recommendations with regards to mindset and (4) analyzing the degree of resilience by means of the collective mindset.
