National Data Maturity Policy Development Considerations
The Think To DO Institute has focused all of its research around the four areas of resilience: People,
Place, Knowledge and Leadership. In designing its various research around fragile states, mindsets, and
social cohesion, the Institute determined that there were not sufficient data sets available to the
research process to frame challenging social and economic circumstances.
It was known that resilience assessments are important because they help to identify areas of strength
and areas where improvement may be needed. Resilience assessments can also promote awareness,
leading to more effective use of interventions. It was with this knowledge in hand that the institute
decided to engage in deeper research into the necessary data frameworks needed to support more
effective research outcomes.
